IT`S HERE! Playwright Pitches and Tech Talk Applications open TODAY!

Theatre Puget Sound is excited to launch Tech Talks, and to bring back the wildly successful Playwright Pitches.

Link in bio

What are Tech Talks?
Tech Talks are 5-minute presentations where stage workers (stage managers, lighting designers, stage crew, costume designers, choreographers, etc) get to introduce themselves, share their work, and talk about their skills in front of hiring managers and casting directors from regional theatres and arts organizations.

What are Playwright Pitches?
Playwright Pitch Day gives selected playwrights the opportunity to present a live reading of their work on the main Center Theatre stage. These presentations will be shared with auditors and producing organizations, creating a powerful chance to showcase new work and make professional connections. Auditioning actors may also volunteer as live readers for these presentations, offering an additional opportunity to be seen by auditors.

If you work behind the scenes, Tech Talks and Playwright Pitches are your chance to step into the spotlight.
Digital binder only submissions also available (for those not wanting to present)!

Sign up now to participate in Tech Talks and Playwright Pitches at Stage Workers Week!

Introducing: Beyond the Audition- Unified General Audition Prep Workshop with Zandi Carlson. January 31st 2-3:30pm.

Whether you’re attending the TPS Unified General Auditions for the first time, returning after a break, or hoping for a stronger experience than last year, this workshop is designed to set you up for success. You’ll build confidence by becoming familiar with the Center Theatre and learning practical, audition-specific tools for slating, audition mindset, and performing in this space so you can walk into auditions prepared and grounded. If you’re in the process of choosing audition materials, please bring your song and/or monologue options. We’ll discuss your selections, pairings, and cuts, and help you create a clear plan for your audition package.
