Auditions for Oliver! at Kitsap Forest Theater

Expires: June 30, 2026

About the Project

The Mountaineers Players invite you to join us as we present Oliver! at the magical Kitsap Forest Theater. Consider yourself at home with Lionel Bart's classic musical Oliver! based on the Charles Dickens novel, Oliver Twist, last performed at the Kitsap Forest Theater in 2004. This Tony and Olivier Award-winning show is one of the few musicals to win an Academy Award for Best Picture and is widely hailed as a true theatrical masterpiece by actors and audience members alike. This well-crafted tale of love, hope and dreams engages audiences with its pathos and drama, while delighting everyone with its outstanding musical theater classics such as Food, Glorious Food, I’d Do Anything, Where is Love?, Consider Yourself, Who Will Buy and Reviewing the Situation.

We seek actors of all ages for this large cast show. All roles require singing & dancing. Stipends are available for some roles as needed.

Show dates are July 25, 26, August 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16; 2:00 pm – 2026; All shows are performed at the Kitsap Forest Theater in Bremerton.

Season auditions* held in Edmonds & Bremerton. Bremerton: Thursday, January 22, 7:00 pm; Edmonds: Saturday, January 24, 9:30am-2pm; Sunday, January 25, 4:30-7:00pm;
Callbacks will be Saturday, February 7, from 9am to 2pm  in Edmonds.

If you can't make auditions, please contact us about video auditions (and if needed, callbacks).

*We encourage you to audition for our Spring show, Disney's Frozen, at the same time.
**Seattle auditions and callbacks held in Edmonds near the ferry dock.

We have some weekend rehearsals at the theater in Bremerton (Saturday or both days with an overnight stay possible). Many actors choose to spend the night at the theater on Saturday night and enjoy the camaraderie of "hanging out" together at Kitsap Cabin where volunteer cooks prepare Saturday night dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch. We encourage carpools and sharing commuter ferry passes to help with transportation costs. Stipend for ferry costs available as needed. Rehearsal schedule on our website on the audition page.

It is our policy to carefully schedule rehearsals so that you are not called unless you are needed. Main characters can be expected to come to most rehearsals.

We have a "Survival Guide" with more information about rehearsing and staying at the Kitsap Forest Theater and information about The Mountaineers Players on our audition page.
