February 11 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Crafting the Song is a hands-on audition workshop led by recent Gregory Awards winner Trina Mills, designed to help performers approach singing auditions with confidence, clarity, and intention.
In this working session, participants will focus on how to act a song—connecting text, character, and musicality to tell a compelling story in the audition room. Trina will guide attendees through practical tools for preparation, interpretation, and performance, with an emphasis on making strong, specific choices that support both the song and the audition context.
An accompanist will be provided. Attendees are expected to bring their audition song fully memorized and be prepared to work on their piece during the workshop. This is an active, participatory experience ideal for performers looking to deepen their storytelling, strengthen their audition technique, and refine their connection to their material.
This event is FREE to TPS members and $25 for Non Members.
